What it is

The Ideal 174714 is a lower side crossbar for an 8-section Ideal Commercial boiler. It sits at the lower side of the section assembly, bracing the sections and holding the casing and internal components in correct alignment. It is supplied as an individual spare by Ideal.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion, pitting or thinning along the crossbar
  • Bending or distortion, so casing panels no longer sit square
  • Side panels or casing rattling and vibrating in use
  • Fixing points elongated, cracked or stripped
