What it is

The Ideal 174707 is a side panel for a six-section Ideal Commercial boiler. It forms the outer casing on one side of the appliance, enclosing the heat exchanger and internal components and keeping the casing line complete. Ideal supplies it as a replacement panel for the original fitted to the relevant commercial model.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Corrosion, rust bloom or perforation along the panel edges and folds
  • Dents or distortion that stop the panel seating squarely on the casing frame
  • Paint flaking, blistering or heat discolouration across the panel face
  • The panel no longer fastens securely, leaving gaps in the casing
  • Water staining or streaking on the panel, suggesting a leak behind it

Before you order

  • Confirm the boiler is a six-section model, as panel dimensions differ between section counts.
  • Check the GC number and serial plate on the appliance before ordering.
  • Compare the number on the existing panel with 174707 where it is still legible.
