What it is
The Ideal 174675 is the master controls wiring harness used on Ideal Commercial Imax Xtra boilers in the F320 to F560 range. It is the main electrical loom that carries control and signal wiring between the boiler's control PCB and the components it operates, including fans, pumps, sensors and safety interlocks.
Because it is the master harness rather than a single sub-loom, it handles the primary control circuits for the appliance. A damaged or corroded harness interrupts those circuits and the boiler will typically fault, lock out or fail to respond to demand.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or shows a control fault that returns after resetting
- Controls, thermostat or demand signals are intermittent or ignored
- Visible damage to the loom: chafed, scorched, brittle or cracked insulation
- Corrosion, arcing marks or discolouration at the plug terminals
