What it is

The Ideal 174563 DHW pack contains the isolation valves used on the domestic hot water circuit of Ideal Isar, Evo HE and Esprit 2 appliances. The valves let the DHW side of the boiler be shut down so that components downstream can be serviced or replaced without draining the whole system. This pack is the variant listed for pre-prefix XF appliances.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping from the valve body or around the spindle
  • The valve handle turns but the DHW supply cannot be shut off
  • A seized or stiff spindle that will not operate by hand
  • Corrosion, scale or staining around the valve connections
  • Water tracking along the pipework when the DHW circuit is isolated for service

Before you order

  • Check the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list below before ordering.
  • Compare the existing valve arrangement with the DHW pack to confirm it matches the appliance variant.
  • Note the alternative part number 1780842 when cross-referencing older stock or paperwork.
