What it is
The Ideal air pressure switch, part 174418, is a safety device fitted to Ideal Commercial Imax Xtra boilers. It senses the pressure generated by the combustion fan and confirms the fan is running before the boiler is allowed to fire and continue running. If the fan stops or air flow through the appliance is restricted, the switch interrupts the sequence so that flue products cannot accumulate without a safe path out of the boiler.
