The Ideal 174414 is a fan gasket used on Ideal Commercial IMAX XTRA appliances. It sits at the fan mounting face, sealing the joint between the fan and the surrounding casing or flue path so that products of combustion are drawn away correctly and air is not pulled in where it should not be. The gasket is a consumable item: heat, vibration and repeated service work all take their toll on the sealing material, and a perished or flattened gasket will not seal reliably.
