What it is
The Ideal automatic air vent is a pressure safety device fitted inside the central heating unit. It uses buoyancy to release air that builds up as water moves through the boiler's heating and cooling circuit: a float inside the vent rises and falls with the water level, opening and closing the outlet so trapped air escapes while the system stays sealed. This kit is supplied by Ideal for the Mexico HE range.

- Radiators that need bleeding repeatedly, or that stay cold at the top
- Gurgling, bubbling or rushing water noises from the boiler or pipework
- Boiler pressure that rises and falls without obvious cause
- Water weeping or dripping from the vent body or its connection
- Air-related lockouts or overheating faults that return after venting the system manually
