Ideal Gasket Kit Servicing Mexhe 15/18/24 174169

The Ideal 174169 is a servicing gasket kit for the Ideal Mexico HE family of boilers. It contains the o-rings, washers and gaskets used at joints throughout the appliance, where pipework meets components such as the heat exchanger, fan and other internal assemblies. These seals keep water and flue gases contained at the joint faces, so they are replaced as a matter of course whenever a connection is broken during servicing or repair.

• Weeping, damp staining or crusting around pipe joints, heat exchanger connections or fan mountings
• Boiler pressure dropping repeatedly with no visible system leak elsewhere
• Seals found flattened, hardened, cracked or swollen when a joint is opened at service
• Water tracking onto the casing or near electrical components inside the appliance
• A joint that continues to seep after being re-made with the old seal refitted

• Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list; the Mexico HE 15, HE 18 and HE 24 all take this kit.
• Check the number stamped on the old gasket or recorded in the boiler's service history against 174169 and 1179885.
• Gaskets, o-rings and washers at disturbed joints are normally renewed rather than reused, so allow for the full kit.
