Ideal Fan Wiring Harness Mexico HE 174136

The Ideal 174136 is a fan wiring harness supplied by Ideal for use in its Mexico HE boiler range and selected Ideal Commercial appliances. It is the electrical loom that links the combustion fan to the boiler's control board, carrying the supply and feedback signals that let the fan run at the correct speed for each firing rate. A damaged or intermittent harness will interrupt that link and stop the fan from running as the board expects.

• The fan does not start when the boiler is called for heat, or starts only intermittently.
• The fan cuts out part-way through a cycle and the boiler locks out or reports a fan-related fault.
• Insulation on the harness is cracked, scorched or brittle, or individual conductors are frayed.
• The plug at the fan or the control board is loose, corroded or shows signs of heat damage.
• Fan speed is erratic, or the fan runs noisily and unevenly compared with normal operation.

• Read the GC number from the appliance data badge and match it against the numbers listed above before ordering.
• Compare the connector shape and pin count on the existing harness with the replacement, and note the original cable routing so it can be repeated on refit.
• Isolate the electrical supply at the boiler isolator before removing or refitting the harness.
