What it is
The Ideal 174135 is a fan wiring harness assembly supplied by Ideal for the Mexico HE range of boilers. It is the loom that carries electrical signals and power between the boiler's control components and the fan, and may be made up of several wires bundled together or a single conductor depending on the circuit it serves.
Because the harness sits inside the appliance casing and runs close to hot components, the insulation and terminals can degrade over time, interrupting the supply to the fan.

- The fan does not run, or runs intermittently, when the boiler is called for heat
- The boiler locks out or fails to fire despite a demand from the controls
