What it is
The Ideal 174131 is a gas pipe kit produced for the Ideal Mexico HE family of gas boilers. It forms part of the appliance's internal gas train, providing the pipe run that carries gas from the supply connection through to the burner assembly. The kit is supplied as a direct replacement for the original pipework on these models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, pitting or surface discolouration along the pipe run
- A gas smell or a leak detected at a joint on the gas train during a tightness test
- Soot deposits or scorching on or around the pipework
- The boiler failing to light, or repeatedly locking out
- Pipework distorted or damaged while other components were being removed
