What it is
The Ideal 174124 is a flow pipe kit manufactured for the Mexico HE range of commercial gas boilers. It forms the flow side of the primary water circuit, carrying heated water away from the heat exchanger and into the heating and hot water system. The kit is supplied as a complete pipe assembly so the original run can be removed and replaced without fabricating individual sections on site.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or staining around the pipe joints or unions on the flow side of the heat exchanger
- Visible corrosion, pitting or scale build-up on the pipework
- Reduced flow through the boiler, with the appliance cycling or cutting out on a flow-related fault
- Kettling or knocking noises from the heat exchanger area during firing
- Pipework that has been disturbed or damaged during another repair and no longer seals correctly
