What it is
The Ideal 174092 is a red burner gasket used across the Ideal M Series and Mexhe boiler ranges. It seals joints in the gas assembly where components meet pipework, and is also specified for heat exchangers and gas valves to prevent gas and water leaks. It is listed for use in Icos, Esprit 2, Mexico, Evo, Elise, Isar and Esprit appliances.

- A smell of gas around the burner or gas valve joint
- Water weeping or staining at the gasket face
- The gasket is visibly cracked, flattened or hardened
- Soot deposits or unstable combustion at the burner
- The joint leaks again shortly after being remade
