What it is
The Ideal 173530 is a fan wiring harness supplied by Ideal for use in its domestic gas boiler range. It is the loom that carries power and control signals between the combustion fan and the boiler's main PCB, so the fan runs at the speed the board demands and the appliance can prove airflow before ignition.
Because the harness sits close to the fan and the flue path, it is exposed to heat and vibration throughout its service life, and the plug ends are a common point of intermittent contact.

- The fan fails to run when the boiler is called for heat, with the appliance locking out shortly afterwards
