What it is
The Ideal base frame (5 section, FD31) is the structural frame that the sectional heat exchanger and casing of a commercial boiler are built onto. It locates the sections, keeps the casing panels square and carries the weight of the appliance at floor level. This version is supplied by Ideal for the Harrier GTE range of commercial gas boilers.

- Corrosion, pitting or heavy rust on the frame rails, especially where leaks or condensate have collected
- Cracking, distortion or a bent frame that prevents the casing panels from lining up
- The appliance sitting unevenly or rocking on its mounting points
- Elongated, stripped or damaged bolt holes at the section mounting points
- Rust staining or water tracking around the base of the boiler
