What it is
The Ideal ADM and modem board kit is a printed circuit board (PCB) assembly for Ideal domestic gas boilers. The board monitors and controls every process occurring throughout the system via switches, thermostats and sensors, and enforces safety measures by shutting down boiler functions if internal readings indicate a fault such as high pressure or low water levels. This kit covers the change from the RD1 board revision to RD2.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or fails to fire, with no response to a call for heating or hot water
- Fault or error codes return repeatedly after resetting the appliance
- The board does not respond to thermostat, sensor or switch inputs
- The boiler shuts down on a safety fault such as high pressure or low water level
- Intermittent running or random shutdowns that cannot be traced to another component
