Ideal Burner Gasket Imax Plus 173034

The Ideal 173034 is a burner gasket supplied for Ideal Commercial Imax Plus boilers. It sits at the burner mounting face and seals the joint between the burner assembly and the combustion chamber, keeping flue products contained and combustion stable. As a heat-exposed seal it hardens and flattens over time, so it is normally renewed whenever the burner is disturbed.

• The gasket is cracked, brittle, flattened or breaking up when the burner is removed
• Soot staining or dark marks around the burner mounting face or adjacent casing
• Combustion readings that drift or become unstable at service, with CO or CO2 outside the expected band
• A smell of combustion products around the appliance during operation
• The gasket sticks to the mating face and tears on strip-down

• Confirm the boiler model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering
• Check the part number on the existing gasket where it is still legible
• Assess the rest of the burner assembly seals at the same time, as they are usually disturbed during the same job
• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
