The Ideal 172953 is a domestic hot water (DHW) sensor used across the Ideal Commercial Buccaneer appliance ranges. It measures the temperature of the domestic hot water circuit and passes that reading to the boiler control board, which uses it to regulate burner output and hold a steady hot water temperature at the tap. The sensor is a direct replacement for the factory-fitted item and carries the manufacturer code 172953.
