What it is
The Ideal 172910 is a PCB cover supplied as a casing assembly. It fits over the control printed circuit board on Ideal Commercial Buccaneer appliances, closing off the board area and protecting the electronics from dust, moisture and accidental contact during servicing. The cover also forms part of the casing structure around the control section of the appliance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The cover is cracked, split or broken, leaving the control PCB exposed
- Fixing points or mounting lugs have snapped, so the cover will not sit securely
- The cover has been distorted by heat and no longer seats correctly over the board
- Visible scorching, discolouration or moisture tracking on the inside face of the cover
- The cover is missing altogether after previous work on the appliance
