What it is
The Ideal 172908 is the front panel for the casing assembly on Ideal Commercial Buccaneer appliances. It forms the outer front face of the appliance, closing off the casing and shielding the internal components behind it. The panel is supplied as a direct replacement for the original fitment and carries the previous reference 85758812.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Dents, creases or distortion that stop the panel seating squarely on the casing
- Corrosion or rust along the panel edges and around the fixing points
- Cracks or splits in the panel material
- Panel no longer sits flush, leaving visible gaps around the casing
- Coating flaking away and exposing bare metal underneath
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering
- Check the part number on the existing panel; earlier builds used 85758812
- Inspect the panel fixings and any seals in the casing area and renew them if worn
