The Ideal 172901 is a top panel casing assembly for Ideal Commercial Buccaneer boilers. It forms the upper section of the appliance casing on 6 section models, closing off the top of the heat exchanger and combustion area and protecting the internal components beneath it. The panel is supplied as a complete casing assembly rather than a bare pressing.

- Visible cracking, splitting or deformation of the top panel
- Corrosion or rust staining across the panel surface, particularly around fixings and seams
- The panel no longer sits flat or seats correctly on the casing frame
- Heat discolouration or distortion following an overheating event
