What it is
The Ideal 172899 is a four-section top panel that forms part of the casing assembly on Ideal Commercial Buccaneer GTE and GTE4 appliances. It closes the top of the unit, shielding internal components from dust, debris and accidental contact while completing the outer casing. It is supplied as a casing assembly component for the Buccaneer commercial range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Rust or corrosion across the panel face or along the folded edges
- Dents or distortion that prevent the panel sitting flat on the casing
- Paint flaking or blistering after prolonged heat exposure
- Fixing holes elongated or torn so the panel no longer secures properly
- Water tracking past a damaged or poorly seated panel onto internal components
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list
- Check the part number on the existing panel against 172899, 1179144 and 85750511
- Inspect the seals and fixings around the panel and replace them if perished or missing
