The boiler body assembly is the five-section cast heat exchanger block that forms the core of an Ideal Commercial Buccaneer appliance. It carries the combustion gases through the section joints and transfers heat into the water circuit, so it sits at the centre of everything the boiler does. This is the complete five-section body, supplied as an assembly rather than as individual sections.

• Water weeping from the joints between the cast sections, often showing as a crust of scale or rust staining down the side of the block.
• Visible corrosion, pitting or a damp patch on the section faces where the sealing faces have broken down.
• Repeated loss of system pressure with no external leak on the pipework or radiator circuit.
• Combustion readings drifting out of range, or the appliance failing to hold a stable flame pattern across the sections.
• Water tracking into the casing or onto the floor beneath the appliance after the boiler has run for a period.
