Ideal Earth Lead Pack W45 W60 W80 172674

The Ideal 172674 earth lead pack contains the earthing leads used inside Ideal Commercial appliances from the W45, W60 and W80 families. The leads bond the burner and heat exchanger assembly back to the appliance chassis, keeping a continuous earth path and supporting stable ignition on the HT side.

It is supplied by Ideal as a service spare for the Imax Commercial range and is listed under the spare part group Cables, Leads & Wiring Harnesses. The pack is the correct replacement where an original lead has been damaged, overheated or has lost continuity at its terminals.

• Earth continuity testing across the lead gives a high resistance reading or fails outright
• Intermittent ignition, spark failure or lockout that changes when the lead or its terminals are moved
• Insulation that is cracked, brittle, scorched or rubbed through where the lead passes a metal edge
• Corrosion, slackness or a poor crimp at the ring terminal or spade connector
• Earth leakage or RCD tripping on the appliance circuit traced back to the lead

• Check the GC number on the appliance data badge against the compatibility list, as the same model name can be listed under more than one GC number.
• Confirm the appliance is an Imax W45, W60 or W80 variant, including the propane versions where fitted.
• Quote part number 172674, or the alternative number 1179000, when ordering to avoid a mismatch.
• Isolate the electrical supply at the isolator before removing or refitting any lead, and refit leads to the original routing and terminal positions.
