What it is
The Ideal 172629 is an inspection cover assembly for Ideal Commercial Imax series boilers. It forms the removable panel over the inspection opening on the appliance casing, allowing the heat exchanger and combustion area to be viewed and serviced without stripping the full casing. The assembly is supplied as a complete cover unit for the W45, W45P, W60 and W60P models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The cover is cracked, distorted or corroded around the fixing points.
- The panel no longer seats correctly, leaving a gap at the inspection opening.
- Fixings or mounting points on the cover are stripped or broken.
- The cover has been removed and not refitted, or has been lost during servicing.
- Combustion readings are inconsistent because the casing seal at the inspection opening is compromised.
