What it is

The Ideal lower rear panel is the casing component that closes off the lower rear section of the appliance shell on Ideal Commercial Concord units. It forms part of the outer casing assembly, protecting the internal components at the rear of the boiler and keeping the appliance enclosure complete.

This panel is supplied by Ideal under part number 172369 and was previously listed under the reference 8358-8310. It belongs to the casing assembly group rather than the gas-carrying or water-carrying side of the appliance.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion, rust staining or flaking paint along the lower rear edge of the casing.
  • Dents, buckling or distortion that stops the panel sitting flush against the appliance frame.
  • Water tracking or staining behind the panel, indicating a leak that has damaged the casing.
  • Impact damage from servicing or handling that has cracked or split the panel.
  • Fixing points that no longer hold, leaving the panel loose or rattling in place.

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list, as this panel is specific to the Concord ES220/H and ESi 220 CPT range.
  • Check the existing panel for the previous reference 8358-8310 or the current number 172369 before ordering.
  • Inspect the surrounding casing fixings and any seals at the same time, as these are often disturbed when a panel is removed.
