What it is

The lower rear panel is the casing section that closes off the bottom rear of the appliance, shielding the internal components and insulation from the surrounding installation space. It is supplied by Ideal for the Commercial Concord range and forms part of the outer casing assembly. The panel also helps maintain the correct airflow path around the heat exchanger and burner area.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Visible corrosion or rust staining across the panel face, often starting at the lower edge
  • Distortion, dents or buckling that prevents the panel seating squarely against the casing
  • Water tracking or staining behind the panel, indicating a leak above it
  • Damaged or seized fixing points that no longer hold the panel securely
  • Exposed internal insulation where the panel has corroded through

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list, as casing panels differ between Concord variants
  • Check the existing panel for the previous number 8358-8306 or the alternative number 1178748 to confirm you are matching the right item
  • Inspect the retaining screws and any seals around the panel and order replacements if they are corroded or perished
  • Work on the appliance casing should only be carried out by a competent person; isolate the electrical supply before removing panels
