What it is
The insulation retaining angle is a formed metal section that holds the appliance's insulation panels in position against the casing or heat exchanger surround. It is supplied by Ideal for use on Ideal Commercial Concord appliances. Without it, the insulation boards can shift, drop out of place or sit proud of the casing, which affects both thermal performance and how the appliance goes back together.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Insulation panels are loose, dropped or no longer held flat against the casing
- The angle is bent, distorted or has been flattened during a previous service
- Visible corrosion or heavy scaling along the retaining edge
- Insulation sitting proud of the casing so the cover will not seat correctly
- The angle is missing altogether after earlier work on the appliance
