Ideal Burner Support 172244

The Ideal 172244 is a burner support supplied by Ideal for its commercial boiler range. It forms part of the burner assembly, holding and locating the burner within the combustion chamber so that the flame sits correctly in relation to the heat exchanger. Because it sits inside the combustion path, it is a gas-carrying component and is subject to the heat and thermal cycling of normal boiler operation.

• Unstable or lifting flame at the burner, with the flame pattern no longer sitting evenly across the burner surface
• Sooting or blackening around the burner area, indicating combustion is not being held correctly
• Delayed ignition, rough light-up or a rumble on start-up
• Visible distortion, cracking or corrosion on the support where it has been exposed to sustained heat
• Burner sitting loose or misaligned when the combustion chamber is opened for service

• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
• Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering, as the Concord ES380/H and ESi 380 CPT variants use different configurations.
• Check the existing part number on the appliance against 172244, 1178627 and 8358-5571 to confirm you are replacing like for like.
• Inspect the burner gasket and any seals disturbed during removal, as these are commonly renewed at the same time as the support.
