What it is

The Ideal 172181 is the lower front insulation panel used on Ideal Commercial Concord ES380/H and ESi 380 CPT appliances. It sits at the lower front of the appliance casing, where it reduces heat loss from the combustion area and keeps the outer panels at a safe working temperature. The panel is shaped to the casing profile of these commercial Concord units and is supplied as a single insulation component.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The insulation board is cracked, crumbling or breaking up when the casing is opened
  • Dark staining, damp patches or softened material indicating moisture or condensate ingress
  • Sections of the panel missing or detached from the casing, leaving bare metal exposed
  • Discolouration or scorching around the lower front area of the appliance
  • Casing panels running noticeably hotter than usual in service

Before you order

  • Check the appliance data badge to confirm the model and serial number match the Concord ES380/H or ESi 380 CPT range
  • Compare the part being removed against the alternative number 1178566 and previous number 8358-4032
  • Inspect any seals, gaskets or fasteners disturbed during removal and replace them if they are perished or damaged
  • This is not a gas-carrying part, but any work inside the appliance casing should be carried out by a competent person
