What it is
The Ideal 172177 is the front lower insulation panel used on Ideal Commercial Concord condensing appliances. It is a shaped thermal insulation board that sits at the lower front of the appliance casing, where it limits heat loss from the heat exchanger area and shields surrounding components and the casing itself from radiated heat.
Over time these boards can crumble, absorb moisture or break up when the casing is removed, so a replacement is often needed during servicing or repair work.
