What it is
The Ideal 172161 is the rear body insulation panel used on Ideal Commercial Concord appliances. It is fitted against the rear body of the unit, where it limits heat loss from the body surface and shields nearby components and casing from radiated heat. The panel is a serviceable item and is removed and refitted whenever the rear body area is worked on.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The insulation panel is cracked, crumbling or breaking away from the rear body.
- Sections of insulation are missing, leaving the rear body surface exposed.
- The panel is damp, waterlogged or stained, usually following a leak in the surrounding area.
- Discolouration or scorching across the face of the insulation.
- Excess heat or condensation appearing in the casing area around the rear body.

- Compare the number on the old insulation with 8358-4010 and 1178546 before ordering, as these numbers identify the same item.
