Ideal Rear Body Insulation Concord ES160 172156

The rear body insulation is the moulded thermal barrier that sits against the rear section of the heat exchanger body on Ideal Commercial Concord appliances. It is supplied by Ideal as a serviceable spare under part number 172156, and it is the same component previously listed as 8358-4005. Its job is to hold heat inside the combustion and heat exchange area rather than letting it radiate into the casing and the surrounding plant room.

• The insulation has crumbled, cracked or broken away from the rear body, leaving bare metal exposed.
• Discolouration, scorching or a burnt smell around the rear of the heat exchanger.
