What it is
The Ideal insulation complete is a moulded thermal insulation component used on Ideal Commercial Concord appliances. It is shaped to sit over the heated section it protects, reducing standing heat loss and keeping surrounding surfaces at a safer working temperature. The part is supplied under Ideal part number 172150 and carries the earlier reference 8358-5527.
Insulation of this type is normally disturbed or removed during servicing and burner work, so it is often replaced at the same time as the components it covers. A sound, correctly seated insulation section also helps the appliance run to its designed thermal performance rather than losing heat into the casing.
