What it is
This is the tray insulation supplied by Ideal for its Commercial Concord range. It sits against the condensate collection tray, where it limits heat loss from the tray surface and reduces the chance of the tray running cold enough to hold condensation or frost. The insulation is a shaped component rather than a flat sheet, so it locates onto the tray in one position only.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The insulation is crumbling, flaking or breaking up when handled
- The material is waterlogged, sodden or holding condensate against the tray
- Visible mould, staining or heavy discolouration across the insulation surface
- The insulation has come away from the tray and no longer sits flat against it
- Corrosion or damp staining on the tray beneath where the insulation has failed
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the compatibility list, as the Concord range uses several different tray assemblies
- Check the part number on the existing insulation or the appliance documentation against 172142, 9422-9291 and 1178527
- Inspect the tray and any seals around it while access is available, as a failed insulation is often found alongside a damp tray
