What it is
The Ideal 172125 is a rear insulation panel supplied for Ideal Commercial Concord appliances. It sits against the rear casing of the heat exchanger or combustion chamber area, where it reduces heat loss to the surrounding casing and helps hold the appliance's operating temperatures within design limits. Over time the panel can crumble, char or compress, at which point it no longer performs its insulating role and should be replaced.

- Visible crumbling, flaking or powdering of the insulation material when the casing is opened
- Discolouration, charring or scorch marks on the panel surface
- Casing or outer panels running noticeably hotter than usual during operation
- Insulation that has sagged, compressed or come away from its mounting position
- Increased heat loss around the rear of the appliance, with a corresponding drop in measured efficiency
