Ideal Combustion Chamber Insulation 172111

The Ideal 172111 is a combustion chamber insulation panel, listed by the manufacturer as C C insulation CPLT 8358-8798. It lines the inside of the combustion chamber on Ideal Commercial Concord appliances, shielding the surrounding casing and boiler structure from combustion heat and helping the chamber hold a stable working temperature. It is supplied as an Ideal spare for the Commercial Concord ES340/H and ESi 340 ranges.

• Visible cracking, crumbling or delamination across the insulation surface
• Insulation material flaking away and collecting as debris inside the combustion chamber
• Scorching, discolouration or heat damage to the panels behind the insulation
• Combustion readings that drift or become difficult to set at service
• Physical damage or breakdown found during a routine service or chamber inspection

• Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering
• Check the marking on the old insulation — 8358-8798 or 1178496 may be stamped or printed on it
• Inspect the combustion chamber door seal and any gaskets while the chamber is open, and renew them if they are compressed or perished
• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
