What it is
The Ideal 172085 is a complete base frame supplied by Ideal for its Commercial Concord range. It forms the structural foundation of the appliance, carrying the weight of the heat exchanger and internal components while providing the mounting points that locate the outer casing panels.
Because it sits at the bottom of the appliance, the base frame is exposed to any condensate, spillage or moisture that collects in the area, and it is the component that keeps the casing square and correctly aligned once the appliance is reassembled.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, rust scaling or thinning of the base frame, particularly around the mounting points
- Cracking, distortion or bending that prevents the casing panels from sitting flush
- The appliance no longer stands level or the frame flexes when the casing is fitted
- Water staining or damp damage spreading from the base into the surrounding panels
- Difficulty refitting the casing after service because the frame has moved out of alignment
