What it is
The Ideal 172039 is a complete boiler body with a 14-section heat exchanger, supplied as a replacement assembly for Ideal Commercial Concord ES appliances. It forms the main heat-transfer component of the boiler, where combustion gases pass across the sections and transfer heat into the system water. This is a substantial cast assembly rather than a service part, so it is normally replaced only when the existing body has failed.
