Ideal Anode 33mm x 330mm 171316

The Ideal 171316 is a complete anode assembly measuring 33mm x 330mm, produced by Ideal for their commercial appliance range. It is a sacrificial component that sits in the water vessel and corrodes in preference to the vessel wall, protecting the internal lining from pitting and perforation over the life of the appliance. Once the anode material is consumed, the vessel itself becomes the sacrificial surface, so the part is treated as a service item and replaced at the recommended interval.

• The anode has eroded to the point where the central core is exposed or the body is heavily pitted
• Water drawn from the appliance is discoloured, rusty or carries a metallic taste
• Rumbling, knocking or popping noises from the vessel during heat-up
