What it is
The Ideal 171250 is an intermediate upper crosspiece that forms part of the casing assembly on Ideal Commercial appliances. It sits across the upper section of the casing, bracing the panels and holding them square so the outer covers line up correctly. The crosspiece also carries the fixing points that secure the upper casing panels in place.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Upper casing panels no longer sit square or flush against the appliance body
- Visible corrosion, rust staining or pitting along the length of the crosspiece
- The section is bent or distorted, often after impact during servicing
- Fixing holes are elongated, stripped or will not hold the panel screws
- Rattling or vibration from loose upper casing panels
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model against the compatibility list before ordering
- Compare the existing crosspiece with the alternative number 85558526
- Inspect the casing panel fixings and any seals for wear while the appliance is open
