Ideal Casing Assembly Long Right Cable Channel 171224

The Ideal 171224 is a casing assembly supplied as a 206 mm long right-hand cable channel. It is manufactured by Ideal for its commercial boiler range and forms part of the outer casing and internal cable routing on the appliance. The channel carries and retains the wiring loom along the right-hand side of the casing, holding cables away from hot surfaces and moving components inside the boiler.

• The channel is cracked, snapped or distorted so it no longer clips or screws securely to the casing.
• Cable retaining clips or tabs have broken off, leaving the loom loose inside the appliance.
• Heat exposure has made the channel brittle or discoloured.
• The wiring loom is chafing against the casing edge or a sharp metal surface where the channel should be holding it clear.
• The channel no longer sits flush, leaving a gap in the casing line-up.

• Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list before ordering.
• Check the number on the existing channel — earlier builds of this appliance may carry 85558055.
• Inspect cable clips, grommets and fixings at the same time and replace any that are damaged.
