What it is
The Ideal 171201 is a casing assembly supplied with a 2025 long rail. It forms part of the outer casing structure on Ideal Commercial appliances, holding the panels and rail in position around the heat exchanger and burner area. This is a replacement component for the Viscount GTE range and related Ideal Commercial models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, cracking or distortion on the casing panel or rail
- The rail no longer sits square, leaving gaps between casing sections
- Fixing points are stripped, snapped or no longer hold the panel securely
- Casing panels rattle or vibrate during operation
- Access panels cannot be refitted correctly after servicing
