Ideal Body Insulation 23-24 Section 171184

This is a boiler body insulation section manufactured by Ideal for the 23-24 section of the appliance heat exchanger and casing assembly. It sits against the boiler body to reduce heat loss to the surrounding casing and to keep surface temperatures within normal operating limits. The part is listed by Ideal under part number 171184 and is also referenced as 85555526.

• Visible tearing, crumbling or compression of the insulation material on the boiler body
• Localised heat staining or discolouration of the casing above the insulated section
• Casing panels running noticeably hotter than usual during operation
• Insulation sections that have come loose and no longer sit flush against the body
• Insulation that has absorbed water or shows signs of contamination from a leak

• Confirm the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility list before ordering, as the same body insulation is not shared across every Ideal Commercial range.
• Check both 171184 and 85555526 against the appliance data badge and any previous parts documentation.
• Inspect the surrounding fixings and retaining clips while the casing is open, as these are separate items from the insulation section itself.
