The Ideal 171167 is a smoke hood supplied complete with a braid gasket. It forms part of the flue assembly on Ideal Commercial appliances, sitting at the flue outlet where it collects and directs products of combustion away from the heat exchanger and into the flue path. The braid gasket seals the joint between the hood and the appliance casing, so the assembly must sit flat and be tightened evenly to keep the flue gas path sound.
