What it is
The Ideal 170988 is an automatic air vent kit supplied for Isar and Icos system appliances. The vent sits at a high point in the appliance or circuit and continuously bleeds off air that would otherwise collect in the heat exchanger and waterways. Left in place, trapped air causes poor circulation, noisy operation and uneven heat output, so the vent is a service item rather than a permanent fixture.
