What it is
The Ideal 170950 is a fan assembly produced for the Ideal Commercial Concord Super Series 4 range. It sits within the appliance and performs a key function in the combustion and flue path, drawing air through the burner and discharging flue products to the outlet so the unit runs reliably. It is listed by Ideal under the Ideal Spares banner and is supplied as a spare for service and repair work.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Grinding, rumbling or whistling noise from the fan area during or after ignition
- The appliance locks out on a fan or air pressure fault and will not reset
- Fan runs intermittently, at reduced speed, or fails to start on a call for heat
- Visible damage to the impeller, housing or mounting, or debris and corrosion inside the fan
- Repeated ignition failure or unstable flame signal traced to poor air movement
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and serial number against the compatibility list, as the Concord Super Series 4 is supplied in horizontal and vertical formats
- Check the part number on the existing fan assembly before ordering, and cross-reference the alternative numbers 1177969, N9274-3 and 100780
- Have the installation and service literature to hand so the replacement is fitted and commissioned to the manufacturer's instructions
