Ideal 170905 M Series Burner Kit

The Ideal 170905 is a burner kit for Ideal M Series appliances. It covers the burner assembly and its controls — the components that introduce gas at the burner head and regulate the flame through ignition and running. A correctly set burner produces a steady blue flame and clean combustion, while worn, contaminated or misaligned burner parts disturb that balance and show up as poor ignition, flame instability or sooting. The kit is supplied as a service replacement for the original assembly.

• The flame lifts, flickers or burns yellow and lazy instead of a steady blue.
• Sooting or blackening appears around the burner head or heat exchanger.
• The appliance locks out repeatedly or fails to establish a flame at ignition.
• The flame pattern across the burner surface is uneven, with weak or missing sections.
• The burner body or its controls show corrosion, cracking, debris or mechanical damage.

• This part is fitted to a gas appliance; installation must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
• Check the appliance model and GC number against the compatibility information for this part number.
• Confirm the part number on the existing component before ordering.
