What it is

The Ideal 170664 is a gas valve assembly used in Ideal Heating appliances. It regulates the flow of gas to the burner, opening and closing on demand from the appliance controls and holding the correct pressure at the burner throughout the firing cycle. This assembly is listed against the Henrad FS and Mexico CF ranges, among others.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The burner fails to light even though the ignition sequence runs and the fan and pump operate normally.
  • The appliance lights and then drops out shortly after, with the flame supervision device shutting the gas path.
