Ideal Brush 170398

This is an Ideal brush service aid, listed by the manufacturer under part number 170398 and also referenced as 96968026. It is a cleaning and servicing accessory intended for use during routine maintenance of Ideal commercial appliances, where brushes are used to clear debris from burner components, heat exchanger surfaces and flueways. The part sits within the Ideal Commercial spares range and is associated with the Viscount GTE and Nuway families of commercial boilers.

• The brush bristles are flattened, splayed or missing, so surfaces are no longer cleaned effectively.
• The brush head has become clogged with hardened soot or scale that cannot be cleared out.
• The handle or shaft is cracked, bent or loose where it joins the head.
• The brush no longer reaches into the flueway or burner recess it was designed for because of distortion.

• Confirm the appliance model and, where available, the GC number against the compatibility list before ordering.
• Check the part number on the appliance documentation or the existing component, as Ideal lists this item under both 170398 and 96968026.
